What "Intimacy With Christ" means to a Christian!!!
- SALVATION : "Intimacy With Christ" begins with salvation. When you repent of your sins and give your heart to Jesus He comes to live in your heart by faith in Jesus, who in turn by your faith in His death, burial, and resurrection gives you eternal Life.
- ETERNAL LIFE is not just a duration of time but also a high quality of living in the present.
- THE SOURCE: To learn this new life you can only learn it from one source, God’s word via The Holy Spirit. Go to “Heartbeat” to learn your new life in Christ. It is impossible to know God’s Will nor will it make sense without the Holy Spirit inside of you, since He is the teacher of God's truth.
- INTIMACY: means a close familiarity with someone, a friendship that is extremely close having intimate knowledge of the likes and dislikes of the other person. a Husband and Wife have such an intimate knowledge of each other that is special, unique and unlike any other.
- GOD'S TRUTH: In Genesis God declared what is good. When Adam and Eve sinned they wanted to declare what was good for themselves without God's help..... only God knows what is good and tells us with his truth. Therefore, in order to live life abundantly one must get to know the truth which is Jesus. So as a Christian daily reading God's truth and ruminating on it is essential to having Intimacy With Christ.
- RELATIONAL: You cannot live your life without building relationships and your relationship to Jesus is no different. Following after Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is not about obeying a bunch of rules it is all about getting to know Jesus and in turn getting to know how to fully live life.
- PRAYER: Is not an event but rather a state of mind. An act of communicating to God and God communicating to you throughout the day. He communicates to you not in an audible voice but through impressions that come into your mind, or through his word or through a person talking via preaching.
