Forgiving The Pain | Intimacy With Christ | Richard Wafford

Matthew 18:21–22, “Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.”

​Forgive, especially when they don’t deserve it!  are to be kind and tenderhearted, always forgiving others, just as God forgave you of all your sins. Forgiveness frees you from the pain of your past. Their actions hurt you deeply and were unjustifiable. Forgiving them may not erase what happened, but it can release you from daily pain and help you find peace. End the cycle of painful memories by forgiving that person, even if they don't seem to deserve it—because you do. You deserve to have peace, Christ died on the cross so you could have peace, but you must choose to walk in His truth!

Matthew 18:32–33, “Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?”

​The forgiveness you extend reflects God’s goodness to you and can inspire others to repent. Love forgives many wrongs. It is through love and forgiveness that repentance and salvation become possible. By letting go of grudges, you convert mere knowledge into heartfelt understanding and transform a worldly person into a godly one.

Ephesians 4:32, “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”

You forgive people as often as necessary to keep peace active in your life. You forgive them daily until it becomes less frequent, to the point that it no longer bothers you. ~ Richard
