1 John 3:1, “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore, the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.”
 
In Genesis, God provided Adam and Eve with everything they needed in the Garden of Eden. Everything created was meant for their enjoyment. Adam and Eve rejected God’s kindness and care and were driven out of the garden to seek enjoyment on their own. If you look over the history of humanity, it hasn’t worked out very well for them.
 
Those who come to Christ want God to care for them fully. To accept His goodness and care, they must turn themselves over to God, wholly and completely. God will in no wise cast them out but will gladly accept all who come to Him. It is a privilege and an honor to be called a child of God! After all that I’ve done and you’ve done against God, we can agree with John, “What manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us!” For those who come to Him, God pays the price for our salvation; He goes again, taking care of everything for us. After this life is over, He doesn’t stop there; He gives us a new glorified body suited to our new life in eternity. The ultimate joy is in Heaven, where we experience it fully. Oh! What a day that will be when we hear God say, “Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord” (Matthew 25:23). ~ Richard
