Philippians 2:9–11, “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,  and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
 
Many give this verse a passing glance and focus on one thing only: that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord. They miss that Jesus has the power to bring every stubborn heart to its knees in complete submission, and that He will do so one day. But Jesus would rather you place your faith in His name to move your mountains and topple your giants. The name of Jesus has the power to change your circumstances. It can push back the forces of darkness and bring you victory. It can bring peace amid the chaos that surrounds you. It can heal your hurting soul. It can change and transform your life. It can redeem the vilest of sinners. It can bring you unseen power to strengthen you against suicide.
That is why you see seasoned saints worshiping Jesus from the heart, tears streaming down their faces, because they have spoken the name of Jesus and know His name’s power firsthand. They’ve seen darkness dissipate in God's light. They’ve seen the enemy defeated even when you faced impossible odds. They truly know there’s power in the name! ~ Richard
