​Outcast Meets Jesus | Intimacy With Christ | Richard Wafford

John 4:10: “Jesus answered and said to her, ‘If you knew the gift of God and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.’”
 
Here was a woman, the outcast of society, so despised by the townspeople that she drew her water at the sixth hour of the day, which was 12 noon, to avoid the other women of the village who came to the well in the cool morning hours.
 
Here was a woman who had been married five times and was living with her sixth partner. She was a woman of ill repute, desperate for love and acceptance, yet finding none. The city looked at her in disgust, spitting on her, and was thankful they were not like her.
 
She had a divine appointment with the Messiah, the God of Heaven. God had a purpose and a special plan for this outcast of society: to reach an entire town and cause them to believe through her unique testimony, “Come, see a Man who told me all things that I ever did.” She openly screamed with excitement and pure joy at meeting her Lord and Savior.
 
Every person alive today has a divine appointment at the crossroads of destiny. A woman’s life was forever changed, and her testimony rings out even today to the outcasts of society, telling them that Jesus loves you and will forgive you, too. 
 
As Jesus approaches you today, what will you do with your divine appointment? Will you accept His plan for your life? Will you scream out your testimony with the excitement of an adult with a child’s heart? 
 
Today is your divine appointment! What will you do with Jesus, who is called the Christ (Matt. 27:22)?
