Welcome to the Intimacy With Christ Devotional Blog

Every day brings new opportunities to grow closer to Jesus Christ. Here you'll find biblical devotionals, practical Bible teaching, and Christ-centered encouragement designed to strengthen your faith and deepen your relationship with God. Whether you're seeking wisdom, healing, renewed hope, or a deeper understanding of Scripture, these devotionals will help you apply God's Word to everyday life. My prayer is that each message inspires you to spend time alone with God, trust His promises, and experience the transforming power of His love. ~ Author Richard Wafford

2 Corinthians 3:12 “Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech.”

We live in a world clouded by lies and deception. We’ve been taught these lies and deceptions since childhood, and we readily believe them because of the blindness of our hearts. We’ve been so ingrained in sin, and sin is so ingrained in us that it is impossible to separate from it. Except for the power of God, we would have been eternally and hopelessly lost. Only the blood of Christ can separate us from and remove the sin that has been so ingrained within us through a miraculous new birth.

Since your eyes have been opened by the Holy Spirit, who gave you a new heart and a new Spirit, you have no choice but to share this truth with those around you. Withholding the hope you have in Christ is the worst sin against humanity one could ever commit. To sinners, the hope is clear: repent and believe, or suffer throughout eternity. The message of hope for the noncommitted Christian is clear: when you live in a lukewarm state, God will vomit you out of His mouth. So, the likelihood of God saying, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant,” will be very slim. Preach the truth loud and clear; the message is summed up in one word: “Hope.” ~ Richard

I’ve trudged through the deep mire of pain and suffering, and I’ve been at the end of darkness. I’ve walked the backstreets in the depths of my despair. At times, death seemed like a long-awaited friend, cloaked in my sadness and dressed in my anguish. Until the Son rose on my horizon, warming the depths of my soul with hope. I can see clearly now, with despair and darkness wiped from my eyes, that the torrential downpour has ceased. ~ Richard Wafford
